Lawrence, is the New Zealand composer Noel Sanders of any interest to
you or others.
He was my cultural studies lecturer and also supervised my hons grad
thesis (at UTS). While he was doing this for his day job, at night on
his Steinway grand he composed classical music. Some 70 odd pieces to
date... this still blows me away, I struggle to write a few pages of
verse.

He was also a student of Chomsky (?) at Harvard but had to leave quickly
with masters instead of a PhD due to homophobia, like male Harvard
students aren't permitted to have love affairs with each other.
Something I can believe, being an electrical engineering and physics
undergrad at Sydney Uni in the mid 70s.
