and University College & Research Group – Northern offer the following course
on Wednesday the 2nd of December 2009 10-4pm Striving towards excellent
Customer Service We all strive for excellent customer service in our libraries
and this event will focus on best practice and ways forward. Elizabeth Oddy
and David Errington from Newcastle University Library will introduce ‘Welcome
to Excellence’ as one methodology that can be used. Following on from this
Erika Gavillet from the University’s Medical Library will talk about the concept
of customer journeying. In the afternoon Janice Hall will speak on how
Newcastle City Library approached the Customer Service Excellence award.
Throughout the day there will be plenty of opportunities for networking,
questions and discussing best practice.
