Hi Bernard,
I am in no way critical of NMRS as it is a great deal for the members but
angry with a publisher who knocks 25% off retail price only weeks after
launching the book . They also offered a pre publication deal of £2.00 off
and effectively have stitched up all those people who supported the launch
as well.
Landmark have recently disappeared, they had a habit of discounting after a
few months leaving book sellers with expensive stock that was then available
on the open market for 25% of the original asking price . As a result I
only stock odd copies of their volumes for fear of being left with shelves
full of unsaleable stock of course most disappears very rapidly and then
genuine customers cannot get hold the stuff. All very poor and sharp
practice
mike
