RESEARCH FELLOW POST, DUGALD BAIRD CENTRE, UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN
We wish to appoint a Research Fellow to join our research team undertaking a
new CSO-funded Health Care Improvement study in maternity services in
Scotland. MODEL1 is a new multi-centre research project taking place in 4
tertiary maternity hospitals in Scotland. We are seeking a researcher with
experience of undertaking interviews, qualitative analysis and healthcare
improvement research in the Dugald Baird Centre as part of the Division of
Applied Health Sciences.
You should have a PhD in health services research (or related subject) or an
MSc plus experience which demonstrates the skills required to operate at this
level. Experience in conducting interviews and qualitative analysis is essential.
You will have good academic writing skills, be computer literate and will have
experience of multidisciplinary working. Experience of undertaking assessment
of organisational performance or health care delivery, or of work in the clinical
topic area would be an advantage. In addition, to be appointed at Grade 7
level you should have a good record of peer reviewed publications and
demonstrable experience of staff supervision.
As this post is funded by it will be offered for a period of 1 year. Part-time
working or job share may be considered. The post is available immediately.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6-7 scale, with placement
according to qualifications and experience.
