HALF-TIME RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN MARITIME ZOOARCHAEOLOGY

Salary: £27,183-£35,469 pa, pro rata

The successful applicant will contribute to a new research project on
"Ancient DNA, Cod and the Origins of Commercial Trade in Medieval Europe"
funded by the Leverhulme Trust as a collaboration between the Universities
of Cambridge and Hull. You will liaise with project collaborators, compile
and analyse zooarchaeological data and participate in disseminating
results. You will have a PhD and practical experience in zooarchaeology and
proficiency with databases. Knowledge of modern European languages, coastal
and island archaeology, stable isotope analysis and/or aDNA analysis is
desirable, as is experience working in an international European research
team. Salary will start at £27,183 per annum pro rata. The post is
half-time for three years, from 1 January 2010 or shortly thereafter.
