SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN (fixed-term due to funding - 2 years)
Salary: £24,619 - £29,940 pa
You will take responsibility for the introduction, implementation, customisation, operation, maintenance and development of the Library Management System. You will provide support and training in its use to Library staff and end users, and play a lead role in developing the Library's Intranet and Internet presence. You will also be required to develop a methodology for the conversion of the Library's card catalogues, and assist in the phased roll-out of the agreed retrospective conversion programme.
You must be a graduate with either a recognised qualification in Librarianship/Information Studies or equivalent experience in a relevant information management environment. You will have experience in a systems support role, be able to demonstrate familiarity with current developments in library information technology, and have a sound understanding of professional standards of bibliographic description. You will be a team player with good organisational and communication skills, able to prioritise your workload and meet project deadlines.
