If you are interested in Reference Management then you may be interested in the Innovations in Reference Management event, which is taking place on 14th January 2010, at Kents Hill in Milton Keynes.
This free event will include talks looking at how reference management relates to real-time impact metrics, social bookmarking, digital preservation and the semantic web.
Of particular interest to members of lis-e-resources could be the two session showcasing innovative use of reference management software at the Open University and the University of Lincoln. These look at different ways of using reference management software (specifically the RefWorks service) which can increase the value for money from investing in such software or services. The Open University presentation (on my own project, TELSTAR) will include a discussion of how we have dealt with linking to electronic resources from references, and how we are coping with the fluid nature of the web and resources that change their URLs.
