1. Actions review, see below.

2. Suggestion to plan another workshop?  If so, what should be in it?

   We agreed it would be good to have a workshop.  Although we agree
   that the technical evaluations should be finished before the
   workshop, we should not wait for the evaluations to finish before
   organising the workshop.

   Should we tag it onto the next GridPP meeting, doing something
   useful while the PMB discuss, or should we have parallel tracks?
   GridPP is pretty good at communicating to its project members, and
   with parallel tracks you might miss something.

   This is the next GridPP after Data, and after the End of EGEE.  It
   is likely that much of the agenda will be dominated by these two
   momentous events.

   The usefulness of a CPU/WN workshop was pointed out as well.  Some
   people are buying new WNs (Chris).

   Apart from the usual experiences and howtos, the results of the
   ongoing technical evaluations will be important: Hadoop, SSDs,
   BeStMan, StoRM.  And DPM support.

   Coming to think of it, we should also discuss GLUE 2.0.  EGEE
   expects us to start using GLUE 2.0 "from the end of 2009" in
   parallel to GLUE 1.3.

   It was suggested the outreach topics in item 3 are also relevant
   for the workshop.

   Location suggested to be Edinburgh.

   Length of workshop discussed.  Should we have 1.5 days, or 2 days
   with 1/2 day, full day, 1/2 day - so people can travel, and will
   have to stay two nights.  Take offline to list.

3. GridPP storage outreach: is there such a thing !?
   - meetings
   - blog!
   - ?
   - Tier 1
   - NGS and NGI
   - Other T2s
   - WLCG command central
   - standards

   We should probably do more to communicate the good stuff we do, but
   how?

   People need to blog more!  It is a metric.  Also I have good (well,
   some) evidence that the blog is being read.

4. Options for SRM low level access discussion?  Maybe we should do
   this at 10:30 so people who are not interested can drop out.

   This was discussed: also gSOAP is an option.  The getSpaceTokens
   function will (probably) only give you the space tokens you "own",
   ie the ones you have access to.

5. AOB

   Matt raised the question for AOB about some odd behaviour of his
   GridFTP servers in DPM 1.7.2 where a shutdown fails because the
   server hangs and prevents the host from rebooting [I thought they
   were SIGTERM'ed in the end?]  Others had seen similar behaviour:
   Sam will post recommendations to the list (ACTION).

Maybe we should discuss the DPM support at the workshop.  Also, as
EGEE moves into EGI, DPM is in gLite which is in UMD which is supposed
to be maintained by EGI.  Too many sites depend on DPM for it not to
be supported somehow.

There was talk about "building a community" which is easy enough to
say...
