Vacancy for an Archive Assistant at the British Motor Industry
Heritage Trust situated at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwick
(www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk). One year contract, salary circa
£18,000 plus benefits.
BMIHT holds a premier archive of historical documents and photos
relating to the British Motor Industry. Following a serious flood we
are now looking for staff to assist the Archivist in the
implementation of our flood recovery programme. This is an ideal
opportunity for a graduate looking for experience before obtaining an
archive qualification. Tasks include sorting, boxing, packaging,
labelling, cataloguing on computer and digitisation. An ability to
work to deadlines and a high level of accuracy are essential as is a
flexible approach. Own transport and full driving licence required as
there is very limited public transport to the Heritage Motor Centre,
which is in a rural area of Warwickshire.
