HEAD OF COLLECTIONS DEVELOPMENT
Shakespeare Birthplace Trust - Stratford-upon-Avon
This is a new strategic role to lead the development of the world-renowned
Collections of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Royal Shakespeare
Company to create a unique, dynamic and accessible resource that is widely
used and explored supporting new approaches to Shakespeare. You will have
leadership experience possibly within a museum/gallery or library and a track
record of delivery of innovative programmes.
You will be familiar with the innovative use of technology and experience of
representing significant collections and managing a range of external
relationships and partnerships. Above all you will be a strong people manager
with experience of leading change, entrepreneurial approaches and an interest
in Shakespeare and theatre.
This role is jointly funded by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Royal
Shakespeare Company and will involve a close working relationship with the
Royal Shakespeare Company.
