Advertisement for the post of Teaching Fellow
Department of Sociology & Anthropology
School of Oriental & African Studies, London
The appointment is for a part-time post to teach one course during the
second term of the academic year 2009/10.
Job Description: The person will be required to deliver an
ethnographic survey course on East/Eastern African to a mixed group of
BA and MA students. The course will need to complement the material
taught in term 1. A course outline will need to be developed prior to
the beginning of the term which identifies relevant material for an
eleven week teaching term composed of eleven one-hour lectures which
are followed by two and one-half hours of tutorial classes per week.

that a formal interview of short listed candidates will take place in
the week of 16-20th November 2009.
Level of appointment:
1. G7 salary scale, spinal point 30 (~£29,704 + £2,143 LWA)

3. Total salary = £3,267
