University of Bristol - Heilbronn Institute
The Heilbronn Institute is advertising for postdocs. We are keen to
increase the number of applicants in the probability/statistics area: an
interest in the interface with other areas of our work, e.g.
combinatorics, would be an advantage. For fuller details see
www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AAC572/heilbronn-research-fellows/
The jobs are for 3 years. They are in effect structured 50% as a
personal postdoc and 50% a project postdoc fellowship, since the
unclassified research can be in any area, while the classified work is
directed. Although the classified work can only be published internally,
existing and recent staff say that through it they have learned
techniques and ideas which have led to a useful broadening of their
knowledge.
Postdocs with interests in statistics and probability are invited to be
associate members of the very strong Statistics group in the Department
of Mathematics, and to share in its activities.
