ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN (COUNTER SERVICES)

Salary: Business Support Scale 4, £17,206 - £19,128

This role is responsible for assisting in the day to day management of the College's Learning Resources Centre (LRC), together with the organisation of the Counter Services which will include staff supervision and the allocation of tasks and resources.
You will hold a professional Library qualification equivalent to degree level or above and it is essential that you have experience of delivering user education within an LRC/Library together with the supervision of staff.
LEARNING RESOURCES CENTRE ASSISTANT - 2 POSTS
REF: AJA 0024/0025
Salary: Business Support Scale 1, £5,788.25 - £6,766.12 (actual salary)
2 Part Time, 1 Permanent post and 1 fixed term post to 30.6.2010 (20 hours per week working 4.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 38 weeks Term Time only)
This role is to assist in the day to day operation of the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) including dealing with user enquiries, providing support in accessing and using learning resources and equipment.
You will hold a minimum Level 2 qualification or above in a relevant area e.g. Customer Services, Business Administration and have good IT skills. It is essential that you have excellent customer service skills together with experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.
