Dear Rasmus,
Thank you so much for your response.
In my case, it is supposed to be a symmetrical homodimer, so there are two identical chains A and B of MS1.
So a 3D peak (NOESY) with assignments is something like this:
F1 A26LysH, B26LysH
F2 A26LysN, B26LysN
F3 A93CysHa, B93CysHa
As I know (or at least guess from other structure) this is inter-subunit NOE rather than intra-subunit (or other way round), I'd like to set the Assignment Group.
So in this case, A26LysH and A26LysN are always in a same Assignment Group and B93CysHa may be same as them. I hope this is not a problem.
In fact, whether I can change the Assignment Group by double click or not is totally random. The default settings are 1 for all and when I double click on the table, nothing happens.
But sometimes, I can get the selection (*, 1 <new>) and select <new> to get a new group 2. However it doesn't necessarily mean that I can return to the new group to 1 as often when I try to double click it again, it doesn't respond.
Hope this makes the situation clearer.
With regards,
Kaeko

Subject: Re: Assignment Groups
Dear Kaeko,
No time to test right now, but a proposal:
The purpose of the Assignmtnt Group is to separate sets of assignments.
Generally a 3D peak with assignments:
F1 Ala38HN, Thr57HN
F2 Ala38N, Thr57N
F3 Ala38HA, Thr57HA
would have 8 possible assignments. If you want it to have only two, you
set AssignmentGroups.
I would suspect that AssignmentGroups can only be set when there are
enough assignments to make it meaningful, and that there may be code to
control that directly bound Resonances (e.g. Ala38HN and Ala38N) can not
end up in differetn Assignment groups.
Could you test and see if that helps?
yours,
Rasmus
