Hi,
I've had problems converting some fits files to ndfs with fits2ndf
(convert version 1.5-16).
The files had a header that contained the lines
NAXIS = 2 / number of data axes
EXTEND = F / FITS dataset may contain extensions
COMMENT FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) format is defined in
'Astronomy
COMMENT and Astrophysics', volume 376, page 359; bibcode:
2001A&A...376..359H
DATE = '2009-11-20' / current date
NAXIS1 = 4034 /
NAXIS2 = 4062 /
fits2ndf complained unless NAXIS1 immediately followed NAXIS. I worked
around it by deleting the EXTEND, COMMENT, and DATE keywords.
Is this ordering a strict stipulation of the FITS format or is it a
quirk of fits2ndf?
Cheers,
-Jason
