New to Second Life (SL)? Learn some SL basics in this virtual workshop. It will
be led by me (Sheila Yoshikawa in Second Life) and Keri Gray (Kitty Mumfuzz in
Second Life) of Weekes Gray Recruitment (http://www.weekesgray.com/)
It is JUST on Second Life, so you need to register an avatar beforehand
(www.secondlife.com), have the SL browser installed on your computer (a
separate piece of software you download from www.secondlife.com) and preferably
have checked that you can get into SL.
Date: Thursday 12th November. Time: 2.30-4pm UK time (this is 6.30 am Second
Life Time)
To book a place, ***please email [log in to unmask]***
Limited to 15 people. Free of charge. If there's lots of interest we may
arrange another session.
We will be covering some basics like moving around, sitting, communicating,
teleporting, and changing your clothes, and advice on things like SL groups.
There will also be a tour of information-literacy exhibits etc. on Infolit
iSchool. This event is part of Information Literacy Week in Second Life 9-15th
November (http://infolit-week-in-sl.ning.com/) so there is even more to see
than usual.
