Dear All,
I am the list owner so anyone with any queries about the list, please let me know.
Can I suggest that until such time as we have a website or anything else we use this list itself as a repository for useful materials.
I do not think it is wise to circulate documents using the list as there is the possibility that certain institutions do not allow attachments but the list has a file area that all members can add to. This can act as our proto-library and to this end I have added the Salford LGBT Staff Network Constitution and Chris's presentation from last week.
Regards
Matt Stephenson

Hi Everyone
Thanks for joining this Forum - if you know other people at other institutions that are part of LGBT Networks in H.E & F.E please get them to join - the more people the more successful the network forum will be.
Those of you who were at the meeting at the University of Salford last week, might remember near the end of the day (when we where running out of time) I said I was going to ask you all by electronic methods what you wanted a network of LGBT Networks to achieve.
What do you think we should set as objectives and aims of such a network?
How do you think we should be organised - if at all?
If we do meet again what sort of format would you like the meeting to take?
Is there any speakers etc you would like there?
Should we start some sort of archive to act as a central point for developing a more permanent reference 'library'? What form should this take?
If you give me your ideas on the above I will collate the replies and get back to you so we have some starting point to ' network of networks'.
As promised, I will soon post the University of Salford's LGBT Staff Network's Constitution on the Forum. If there are any other documents from the day you want me to post please let me know - I believe Chris from ECU has posted his presentation already.
Kind regards
Arron

Hi Everyone,
I'm the communications officer for Imperial 600 and also on the steering group with Wendy here at Imperial College London.
Our Employee network group is called Imperial 600, and we have been lucky enough to host the Stonewall Starting Out guide earlier this month.

Hello LGBTNET,
I think this list is new enough and small enough for self introduction to be not too annoying just yet.
I'm involved in the LGBT staff network at the University of the West of England in Bristol.
Cheers
Debra
