Maybe, but how much metal absorption actually happens in the stomach - my
understanding is that it mostly alcohol that does that! Perhaps more needs to
be made of intestinal absorption, where the pH is about pH8ish - pushing my O
level biology now!

to that equal to the stomach acidity at a pH1-2. Any thoughts on this.

Just bear in mind that the ingested soil will also undergo at least 2
major pH
changes on its journey through the ingestee, which sort of makes the
soil pH
less important for that pathway!
