Durs Gruenbein is hailed as one of Germany's most eminent poets. His work
has been awarded a number of major German literary prizes including the
Georg-Buechner-Preis and the Peter Huchel Prize for Poetry. An English
collection of his poems, Ashes for Breakfast, was published in 2005 and
translated by Michael Hoffmann.
Gruenbein will read some of his most recent prose and (unpublished) poetry
with some poems in English translation.
