The Department of Economics at the University of Victoria invites applications at the Senior Assistant Professor or Junior Associate Professor level, starting July 1st, 2010. The Department is seeking applicants whose work can further the research goals of the University as described under Research Themes at www.uvic.ca/research/. These research themes overlap with Health, Development, and International Economics, among other areas of economic research. The Department has a priority interest in area of Health Economics. A research affiliation with the Center for Addictions Research of BC (www.carbc.ca) is possible. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in research and must have the potential to make a significant contribution to the Department’s research capacity including publishing in the top economics journals. The Department has active MA and Ph.D. programs and candidates are expected to be able to provide graduate level instruction in a core area, as well as supervision and teaching in their area of specialization. Candidates should also have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Information about the Department is available on its Webpage at web.uvic.ca/econ.
