dear SPMusers,
I work with children brains, but not with fMRI images just MRI images. I
want to compare some images to characterize differences in amount or density
of grey, white matter and CSF to see the development or some malformation of
the brain. I want to do various comparisons.
- comparison of 1 patient vs a group:
I want to compare a patient with a homogeneous group. I think use a
two-sample t-test with in one side the patient and in the other side the
group. For the contrast I think is (1 -1).
Is it correct ?
And are the covariates important for the results ? I think use Age and
gender as covariates .
Finally, Is it possible to do this comparison with 1 patient and the
template of the group ?
- comparison of 2 groups:
I think use also the two-sample t-test, is it correct ?
And compare directly the two template, is it possible ? And better ?
- evolution of one patient in time:
Is it possible with SPM to see the evolution of one patient in time. For
example too see the evolution of a region of his brain.
- for the results function, how I choose the contrasts ? It is always (1 -1)
? And with covariates ?
- Finally I read we mustn't put extent threshold, why ?
thanks for yours answers.
