Hi Daniel,
Your doubts are valid. Indeed it is difficult (and I have been arguing
that) to get into the space syntax literature without guidance. I
would definitively recommend you to take some classes wherever people
teach this subject in your city.

It is a measure, and means (more or less) the degree in which a node
controls the access to its neighbours.
CONTROL = SUM (1/CONNj), where CONNj is the connectivity of each neighbour "j".
Note that the formula means that nodes "j" that have low connectivity
depend more on its neighbours. The higher the value of control, the
higher the importance of a space in controlling the access to its
neighbours.

I do not remember.

P-values are not used anymore. "D-Value" is a complicated concept, it
is more or less a value that you use to "normalise" integration,
allowing for comparison between systems of different sizes. The
formula (for systems of any size) is also listed here, as well as the

As I said, I recommend you to take some classes.
Good luck!
