Last year Channel 4 in the UK did a series called 'The Devil's Whore'
which covers the Civil War period from the point of view of a 'feisty
aristocratic lady'. The acting and costumes are good, but the court of
Charles I seems to consist of one tiny building and four people. I have
my reservations about the writing but it got a fair amount of critical
acclaim.

I think that title might be more appealing than 'Cromwell' to the
average student though...
