Elaine, this might not be much of a consolation to you (the NHS having the reputation it does) but we still have over 600,000 paper case notes to look after, as well as all the electronic information we now gather on top of that. Electronic records, in our situation, just now, have added to volume of information we hold rather than reducing the amount of paper ... I don't know if there is an interesting topic in there somewhere ...

Hi All,
Everyone seems to be on a very different page to me - I feel light years behind as most of my records are stored in boxes, not electronically.
Am I the only one out there with paper records????
Not sure this helps with topics for future meetings, but please can my situation be considered?
Thanks
Regards
Elaine

Just wondered if people would be willing to come forward with any burning ideas for our quarterly meetings next year?
Something I am mulling over is a day dedicated to Knowledge Management/Information Management so we could have a clearer idea about what they are about and how they interrelate [or not] with records management.
Another idea is taking a look at what records managers do and what it is perceived that we do possibly with a facilitator to challenge some of our ideas and take us out of our comfort zones.
What other ideas are out there?
