(First, start a new email with a new subject, or people won't read it
if they're not interested in online journals.)
If you're using SPSS, use GLM - Univariate. Put the continuous
predictor into the covariates box, the categorical into the factors
box. Click on options, and select parameter estimates. Click on
model, and build a custom factorial model. Put both predictors in on
their own, then click on them both and push them over with the arrow -
that will create the interaction term.
Continue, OK.
This is covered (with pictures, etc), in Andy Field's book on SPSS
(and probably others too, but I know it's in that one).
