Hi Fiona,
Some tools that I know and have used are the the CASP tools.

Subject: Critical appraisal tool for quantitative and qualitative studies
Hi all,
I hope there's someone out there that can help. Any advice would be much appreciated!
The literature/systematic review I am conducting includes both quantitative and qualitative studies. So I’m looking for a critical appraisal tool that can be used on both types of studies (or two tools, e.g. one for each type). Importantly, the quantitative studies are not largely rigorous RCT-type studies.
Has anyone used any tools that assess one or either type of study? Also, does anyone have any advice on how one might synthesise the quality scores from both types of critical appraisal tool?
Many thanks,
Fiona
