Further to this, I have just reminded myself of the existence of a
consistent (because program-generated) set of unique persistent
identifiers for any date, down to the day level, AD or BC, using ISO
8601 notation (which means that it shares the limitations of ISO 8601 as
regards BC dates). It can be found at:
http://psi.semagia.com/iso8601/
These identifiers were produced with Topic Maps in mind, but could
equally be used in a Linked Data setting.
