Hello everyone,
41 people replied to my query and the vast majority of respondents allow
use of YouTube by students (only 3 are blocking it).
There were a few additional comments:
- One institution blocks students, but allows staff
- Several prohibit its use for entertainment purposes (use
monitoring software to police)
- Use is only allowed with teaching staff permission
- Quota system - 1 hour's use of YouTube and/or social
networking sites permitted in one day
Many replies indicated that social networking sites such as Facebook are
also allowed.
Thanks to everyone who replied!
