I think I understand the origin of this issue :
At least 2 packages are now found in the SL repository whilst before,
they were from jpackage :
java-1.6.0-sun-compat i586 1.6.0.16-1.sl4.jpp sl-errata 48 k
jdk i586 2000:1.6.0_16-fcs sl-errata 65 M
The "protect=1" prohibits the replacement of these package from
jpackage by those from the SL repository.
Maybe someone can confirm my diagnosis (and that I can proceed with
the update without breaking sth) ...
