Hi all,
we've upgraded our top-BDII to update 57 (glite-BDII-3.1.19-0). We
din't want to, but auto-update was on, don't ask me why ...
Now I cannot see our site-bdii published, so we have no entries from pic:
ldapsearch -x -h bdii.pic.es -p 2170 -b mds-vo-name=local,o=grid|grep pic|grep -v ifae|wc -l
51
but if I ask other top-BDIIs, our site is published:
$ ldapsearch -x -h lcg-bdii.cern.ch -p 2170 -b mds-vo-name=local,o=grid|grep pic|grep -v ifae|wc -l
7648
site-bdii from pic is publishing correctly:
$ ldapsearch -x -h site-bdii.pic.es -p 2170 -b mds-vo-name=pic,o=grid|wc -l
33821
So, I have enabled DEBUG in top-BDII (is reconf neeeded? I've done it,
but doc does not specify
it...https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/EGEE/InfoTrouble
but I see no errors from our site-bdii:
[root@bdii01 bdii]# grep site-bdii.pic.es /opt/glite/var/tmp/gip/egee/egee-urls
pic ldap://site-bdii.pic.es:2170/mds-vo-name=pic,o=grid
[root@bdii01 bdii]# grep site-bdii.pic.es /var/log/bdii/bdii-update.log
# tail /var/log/bdii/bdii-update.log

So, anyone could help me to undestand why our top is not able to
collect info from our site-bdii?
Oh, from
http://glite.web.cern.ch/glite/packages/R3.1//deployment/glite-BDII/glite-BDII-known-issues.asp
I see:
> For the time being we must re-enable the FCR mechanism in the BDII
>itself.
> This is done automatically by glite-yaim-bdii >= 4.0.2-2 (in the current glite-BDII rpm list). Please upgrade and reconfigure your BDII_top nodes.
> Verify that /opt/bdii/etc/bdii.conf contains the following lines:
> ------------------------------------------------------------------
> BDII_AUTO_MODIFY=yes
> BDII_UPDATE_LDIF=http://lcg-fcr.cern.ch:8083/fcr-data/exclude.ldif
> ------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> However, the following step MUST BE DONE MANUALLY:
> --------------------------------------------------
> rm /opt/glite/etc/gip/plugin/glite-info-plugin-fcr
> --------------------------------------------------
And it's not true in our case:
# rpm -qa|grep glite-yaim-bdii
glite-yaim-bdii-4.0.4-6
# grep BDII_AUTO_MODIFY /opt/bdii/etc/bdii.conf
# grep BDII_UPDATE_LDIF /opt/bdii/etc/bdii.conf
#
So I'm wondering if I have to follow those instructions or not...
TIA,
Arnau
