Subject: [LCG-ROLLOUT] g3.2 WN Tarball install on HPC - can't yum install glite-TORQUE_client
Dears,
Have q about gLite 3.2 WN Tarball install that we'll do on HPC WN
(in a parallel filesystem all the HPC WN will mount).
On page https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/WnTarInstall
the instructions say:
Torque client installation
Download the glite-TORQUE_client.repo for 3.1 or glite-TORQUE_client.repo
for 3.2 file and run:
yum install glite-TORQUE_client
cd ${INSTALL_ROOT}/glite/yaim/bin
./yaim -c -s site-info.def -n glite-TORQUE_client
No can do; on HPC we have no root access, can't yum install anything on
head node nor on WN.
Everything LCG jobs will need must be within the tarball WN install.
Do we unpack the files from the glite-TORQUE_client rpm:
/opt/glite/release/glite-TORQUE_client/arch
/opt/glite/release/glite-TORQUE_client/glite-version
/opt/glite/release/glite-TORQUE_client/node-version
/opt/glite/release/glite-TORQUE_client/service
/opt/glite/release/glite-TORQUE_client/update
and tuck those away somewhere into the WN tarball install?
Where exactly?
I emailed the author of the page with this q a month back, but no answer.
Apols if it's very obvious to everyone else!
Very grateful for enlightenment,
Thank you.
