Has anyone heard anything about Colleges loosing JANET connection subsidies as my Finance Director has heard something - see below?

Dear all

I have heard a rumour that colleges and more specifically 6th Form Colleges may lose the subsidy for the JANET internet connection following the MOG changes.  Does anyone know anything about this as it would probably cost us all £50K+ to either pay for JANET or to find an alternative 100Mbit/s connection.
