Hi all,
I was thinking about how to improve computational performance in our lab
recently. As we are using a Mac, I am curious about how much improvement
an update to Mac OS X Snow Leopard might get us.
While there are 64bit versions for Linux, I didn't find out anything
about the architecture for the Mac OS X build. One question is, how much
improvement would we get, if FSL is not 64bit, but the underlying OS is.
When we talk about the Mac version of FSL in general, how much is it
adjusted to this platform? Is it only the native Linux version or are
there big differences between Mac and Linux versions? A somewhat related
question: will FSL take advantage of Grand Central Dispatch at one point
(or does it already)?
