Dear all
Being ‘the German department’s linguist’ at Reading, may I draw your attention
to the CfP for the lead panel of next AGS (formerly known as CUTG) meeting in
Reading? The panel will be about “Everyday Culture and the Depiction of the
Everyday in Literature, Arts and Media”, and the CfP explicitly invites papers
with a linguistic background; esp. “the study of ‘everyday language’”
and “discourses about the everyday”. PLEASE hand in linguistic abstracts to
the lead panel in case you are working in this area/would be interested in
presenting about something related to the CfP with a linguistic/discourse
analysis approach.
Nils and I are planning to guest-edit an issue of GFL which would include the
papers that approached the topic from a linguistic point of view.
All good wishes
Melani
