Off-topic, however: I am disturbed by the link on that website which claims
that hundreds of members of the U.S. Navy "caught" H1N1 from the vaccine.
The vaccine is made with dead---not live---H1N1 virus. One cannot "catch
H1N1" from the vaccine. This is sensationalism at its worst and has the
potential to (needlessly) frighten the general public, some of whom may now
avoid the vaccine and become sick and/or die from the flu itself as a
result. I received the H1N1 vaccine myself earlier this week, and here I
am-----living, breathing, and typing this response. I am not ill. I didn't
"catch H1N1" from it. Furthermore, I'm grateful to be one of the lucky few
to receive it so early in the season in light of manufacturing delays and
the nation-wide shortage of the H1N1 shot here in the U.S.
Cordially,
V.
