A query not unrelated to the discussion we've been having this week:
does anyone have figures--or better, sources of such figures--for
numbers of authors etc. in both Greek and Latin?

I`m in search for a simple statistic of transmitted (no Papyri finds)
Greek and Latin Classics. How many pagan authors and titles (and word
volume) got we from before c. 400 CE? Could someone point me to a paper
or book on this?
