A very salient point, David. This is why I’m always slightly doubtful
about the accuracy of assessments that form a climate of opinion about
particular “schools” of poetry, whether it be Cambridge, London, or
wherever. Given, the reality of what you say, we can never really come
to a definitive assessment regarding this.
