Does anyone know of a requirement to have 'mains' powered emergency
assistance alarms in a wheelchair accessible toilet.
Approved Document M and BS8300:2009 seem to make no reference to the
way in which emergency alarms are powered.
Several 'Battery-alone' Powered systems are available but are my concerns
justified on the assumption that Batteries will eventually go flat or may be
removed thus rendering the alarm system ineffective.
