Hi Ellie
I would suggest referral to an NHS allergy clinic. They are few and far
between and I don't know what is available up there but you should be
able to locate one. It will have to be a GP referral but you could
probably do the groundwork.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Allergies/hayfever
Can anyone help?
We have a 42 year old female employee whose life has been made
absolutely
miserable by known allergies to grass, trees and cats (there maybe more
but
she wasn't tested for any others) She was recently tested by an ENT
consultant who has basically told her that conventional medicine cannot
help her ie. no hope. She spent long periods of last year (not only
summer
but worse in summer) in bed with blackout blinds sleeping and when
awake
eyes streaming/nose stuffed etc unable to function. Her quality of life
was
grim. Her role at work is predominantly desk bound DSE stuff and
meetings.
Her office was changed from brick build 1st floor to "cabin" with
absolutely no change in her physical wellbeing. Her psychological
wellbeing
is going down rapidly.
She lives on the West coast of Southern Scotland and was symptom free
when
on holiday in Portugal for 2 weeks last summer.
She is currently using eye drops , nasal drops x2(one steroid) and
hayfever
tabs which are just maintaining her symptom free over the
autumn/winter(stop this cocktail and within days she is streaming and
back
to bed)
Desensitisation won't work as multiple allergies.
Has tried Lloyds pharmacy gizmo - didn't work
In desperation had a steroid injection that worked for a time but gave
horrendous gastric side effects so no gain
Has tried every hayfever medication (OTC and prescribed)
Anyone got any success stories/ideas outside conventional medicine ie.
complementary therapies/homeopathic remedies?
Much appreciated
