Hi Nic,
I thought WebPA already had a (text) feedback option? Presumably this is
a toggle option so that the individual can make it 'compulsory' or not?
Even if its already there (can't be switched on or off) you can just
'advise' students to leave feedback or not, depending on your
preference? I think feedback is a good option but individuals should
have the option of whether its compulsory or not. I'd prefer the option
but not to be compulsory.
Just to add a personal comment on this from my experience. Before the
days of WebPA, I used to ask students to email me comments which I then
suitably anonymised and collated for individuals (yes, a lot of work!).
But due to the small groups students could still figure out who said
what and didn't always take it the right way. I've since seen other
examples where students are assessed on the quality of their feedback so
this should ameliorate these problems - you just need to plan and assess
this appropriately.
Regards
Paul

Hi All,
A new feature has been requested on the source forge area. This email is
really to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to voice their
opinion as to whether the feature is included in any future release of
the tool.
Right on with the request....
"In some assessments, the students should be required to leave feedback
rather than just given the opportunity to do so.
Would it be possible to add this functionality?"
Please feel free to post directly to this mailing list, stating if you
are in favour or not. Do include any justification that you have for or
against the feature.
Nic
