The Sciencewise-ERC has an exciting new vacancy for Head of Public Dialogue.
Reporting to the Programme Director at AEA, the Head of Public Dialogue will:
- Lead a programme to raise awareness at senior levels in Government
Departments and other policy stakeholders of the benefits of public dialogue
and of the Sciencewise-ERC.
- Provide professional dialogue expertise for the Sciencewise-ERC at senior
level initiatives, including the Sciencewise-ERC Steering group.
- Provide leadership to the Sciencewise-ERC team of Dialogue and
Engagement Specialists (DES).
- Lead the strategic development of public dialogue on science and
technology in the UK through the Sciencewise-ERC
Skills / Personal qualities required:
- Extensive experience in delivering public dialogue and public engagement.
- Knowledge and understanding of national policy making processes, and how
dialogue can contribute to science and technology policy making.
- Demonstrable track record in engaging stakeholders at senior levels.
- Credibility and evidence of the ability to influence senior Government policy
makers.
- Experience of engagement at Ministerial level.
- An understanding of the management and delivery of Government
programmes.
- Good team management skills.
