If you google for "starlink java repository", the FIRST TWO LINKS are
to dev.starlink.ac.uk and www.starlink.rl.ac.uk/java/java.htm, which
describe the brand spanking new 2004 software release. Browsing
around, _all_ of the pages are unchanged from that time, as if in a
timewarp:
> You can download the latest stable release of the whole Starlink
> Software Collection from our2004 Release Download Page.
Cool URIs don't change, and all that, but if these web servers were
wiped and these returned 404s, or if these two names were removed from
the DNS, or even if someone went at those machines with an axe, that
would _still_ be an improvement.
Surely _someone_ knows where those machines' blasted off-switch is.
It's getting really embarassing.
