University of Leeds, UK
Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cognitive Neuroscience - 3 years
fixed-term post
Emotion-Cognition interactions.
A BBSRC-funded postdoctoral research position is available in the
Institute of Psychological Sciences for 3 years (full-time). The
postholder will join a research team investigating the cognitive and
neural mechanisms of emotion-cognition interactions using EEG/ERP and
fMRI. The main emphasis of the job will be on EEG/ERP, but the
postholder will also work with fMRI. There will also be the possibility
to work with other neuroscience techniques, depending on the research
interests of the postholder. The postholder will have access to
state-of-the-art research facilities (high-density EEG, fMRI, TMS,
Eye-tracker and other psychophysiological techniques). Candidates will
be expected to hold a PhD (or to be in the process of obtaining it) in a
relevant area, and able to demonstrate a strong research potential.
Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a strong interest in
emotion-cognition interactions. Prior experience with EEG/ERP and fMRI
is desirable. However, training in these techniques will be available if
needed. The post is available immediately and work should start no later
than February 2010.
