Introductory Acceptance and Commitment Therapy training
With Martin Wilks MSc and Henry Whitfield MSc
On 17-18th Oct. + 7-8th Nov.

On completion of this course you will be ready to apply a course of ACT
sessions your clients.

Learn why the very nature of human language can cause suffering and commit
to living a vital and meaningful life. Developed within a coherent

theoretical and philosophical framework, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
(ACT) is a unique empirically based psychological intervention that

uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and
behaviour change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.

This workshop includes the traditional two day experiential introduction to
ACT, and a skill training weekend during which you practice applying all

the classic processes of ACT, both as a client and as a practitioner.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: Intermediate level Skills Training
With Martin Brock MSc
On 17-18th Oct.

On completion of this course you will have further developed your personal
style of ACT, learnt to be more ACT consistent through personal

feedback from Martin BrocK. With supervision program that follows in
November, (only for graduates of this intermediate training) you have the

opportunity to become an experienced ACT therapist.

This 2-day Intermediate Skills Training workshop, with Martin Brock is
designed for those who have completed our 3-4 day experiential Introduction

to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but is also open to those who
have done such training elsewhere. Jason Luoma (2009) has

highlighted that one-shot Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
workshops do not normally create lasting behaviour change in therapists. We

therefore need further training to enable therapists to develop competency
in ACT.
