The School of Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes University is currently
advertising a number of posts. These include 2 Early Career Fellows (one in
Public Health/ Substance Misuse and one in Child Health and Wellbeing). I
thought they might be of interest to list members:

Starting salary: £31,672, rising annually to £34,607

These posts are fixed term for two years with the potential for renewal.

Public Health: You will work with the Professor of Public Health in developing
teaching and research in substance misuse. The research will focus primarily
on associations between illicit drug use, exercise and nutrition and will involve
close collaboration with nutritionists and exercise physiologists in the School
of Life Sciences.
Ref: 274/16953/BC

Child Health and Wellbeing: You will work with the Reader in Primary &
Community Care and the Professor of Community Psychology & Public Health in
developing teaching and research in child health and wellbeing. The research
will focus primarily on childhood obesity and will involve close collaboration
with nutritionists in the School of Life Sciences and psychologists in the
School of Social Sciences and Law.
Ref: 275/16955/BC

For both posts, you should have: a good first degree; a PhD in a relevant area
and some prior teaching experience; and training in teaching methods is
provided for those without a teaching qualification

Closing date: 5 October 2009
