SGM needs an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated graduate to run our
scientific conferences and associated activities to promote microbial science.
Excellent organisational skills, initiative, accuracy, and good oral and written
communication skills; together with computer literacy and knowledge of
databases plus the ability to multitask are required to meet the demands of
this varied job. A degree in life science would be an advantage and experience
of organising scientific conferences is essential.
The post is permanent and will be based in Spencers Wood, near Reading.
Applicants must be willing to travel and work away from home. Starting salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the range
£25,000-33,000.
