*12 SEP: Wrong words: Helen Child (TBC) + Dosh Luckwell*
DOSH LUCKWELL writes about sex, death, his mother, and more. Dosh's words
roll with a frank and fox-like delivery luring his listeners deep into a
world of dark play and illicit encounter. Dosh is tall and his voice is
deep. Come. May he elate, transform, and suffocate your understanding of
that old dog of diseases - desire.
HELEN CHILD is a humorous poet, MC and comedienne whose work is witty,
satirical and black. Helen has headlined at major WA festivals for the past
11 years, including the Albany Sprung Writers Festival 2006 and the WA Pride
Festival 2001 and 2002. Helen featured at the 2007 Melbourne Overload Poetry
Festival and featured on Melbourne's Channel 31 "Noise TV".
* 19 SEP: Melbourne's madman of the left, luxe & liminal, that cursenamed
wogboy - **Santo Cazzati*
*Fresh from MELBOURNE OVERLOAD and slighly soiled from featuring at
QUEENSLAND POETRY FESTIVAL! **SANTO CAZZATI* is a spoken word artist. *His
performances are a trip in all senses of the word. *Santo is a fixture on
Melbourne's grass roots poetry scene. He is a frequent winner of Babble
Poetry Slam and won second prize in Melbourne Slam 2008. He is a presenter
of 3CR's Spoken Word radio programme. The son of Italian immigrants to
Australia, he emerged from past lives as a classical concert pianist and
avant garde jazz musician to teach at an elite Melbourne private school
which must remain anonymous in order to protect those concerned. He performs
in a range of styles, from fast rhythmical delivery to slow atmospheric
meditation, often with a strong world music influence and critical ironic
distance.**
