A PhD position is available in the Molecular Quantum Dynamics Group at the
Institute of Physics, University of Rostock, Germany
(http://www.physik.uni-rostock.de/quantendynamik/).
The theoretical project aims to unravel structural and dynamical correlations of hydrogen-
bonded networks in ionic liquids. It will comprise methods from electronic structure theory,
dissipative quantum dynamics, and ultrafast spectroscopy.
The work is embedded in the activities of the Collaborative Research Center Sfb 652
"Strong Correlations and Collective Phenomena in Radiation Fields"
(http://www.physik.uni-rostock.de/sfb/) and involves close cooperations with experimental
groups.
The successful candidate will have a Master or Diploma in Physics or Chemistry with a focus
on Theory and knowledge of a programming language. While knowledge of German
