Mike,
Hall was on the committee of the Baldhu Mines Company in 1822 and Purser
1822-1824. There was an action by Heath and another against Hall who was
then described 'an adventurer in and the principal manager' of 'Baldue and
Tregothnan Mine'. Hall later brought an action of trespass against the
Vice-Warden and his secretary, and against the auctioneer who sold the
mine's materials following the previous case. There appears to have been one
more action for, and one more against, Hall, possibly in 1824.
Hope that's of use.

Subject: Frederick Hall
Can anyone on the list add anything about Frederick Hall's Cornish
interests? He appears to have owned/managed the Baldhu Mines, near Truro,
in the early 1820s.
Hall had worked lead mines in the Yorkshire Dales and around Blanchland, in
Northumberland, between 1800 and 1820, then he disappears off our maps.
Best wishes,
Mike Gill
