Playing a key role within the Access and Inclusion Team of the NES
Knowledge Services Group, you will take the lead in designing and
implementing new knowledge solutions to support hard to reach
workforce
groups and disadvantaged communities. There will be a strong emphasis
on developing the skills and values of healthcare staff in finding,
sharing and using information, and the “knowledge worker”
competencies of facilitating effective use of information by patients,
carers and the public.
With a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in
information science, knowledge management or other relevant
discipline,
you will have considerable experience of analysing information needs
and
designing new solutions and will have a commitment to health
information
literacy. An interest in bibliotherapy would be beneficial, and you
will
be keen to develop your role in innovation and strategic development
in
knowledge management. Good project management, presentation and
influencing skills are also essential for this post along with
excellent
time management and organisation.
